It’s official: Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed. The highly anticipated open-world game from Rockstar was initially set for May 2026, but will now be released on November 19. A game delay is never good news, but for Take-Two Interactive, it caused its stock price to momentarily dip while the industry prepared for the later release.

GTA 6 is recognized as a completely unique release, propelled by an incredible amount of excitement. Even a basic YouTube video dominates debates for days after it is posted, reigniting interest in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and the delay has elicited numerous replies from nearly everyone with a pulse in the gaming world.

Big corporations like Domino’s Pizza and KFC have responded, and someone at Red Bull Gaming should quit drinking excessively caffeinated energy beverages. Some of the reactions have been brutally honest, while others have taken the news in stride with witty answers, and some have overreacted severely to the delay.
